Our history

Smart Cube is a Luxembourg-based company founded in 2013 by Jorge De Oliveira.

Jorge De Oliveira is an engineer with a passion for technology. The desire to undertake, to innovate and to share these solutions with society has always been part of his genes.

From 2013 to 2018, Smart Cube remained commercially inactive, but this time allowed its founder to develop and refine the concept. Ideas were able to continue to develop and new technologies were born.

Smart Cube is an idea box with the only objective to create added value for the company.

In 2018, it’s the big launch of Smart Cube on the Luxembourg market. A young and innovative company, determined to change the perception of "Smart Home/Smart Building" and to create service through an innovative concept.

This service concept gave rise to the "Cube4services" application, which gathers all the alerts coming from buildings, such as the detection of breakdowns in electricity, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, flooding, fire, intrusion, etc., and connects the competent service providers who can intervene in the home.

In 2019, this concept allowed Smart Cube to be selected for the innovation prize in the craft industry in the Digital category in 2019 and this will have earned it finalist against SMB’ s already well implemented on the Luxembourg market.

But as CEO, Jorge De Oliveira does not stop there! And for that, he shares his skills in the field of Smart Home by giving courses for the competence center and the chamber of trades in Luxembourg.

His adventure will be alone until September 2019, that’s when he hires his first employee, an engineer just like him. Since then, the team has not stopped growing.

In 2021, Smart Cube is launching an innovative energy monitoring solution that integrates all types of meters on a single platform. This platform allows customers to view their consumption for electricity, cold water, hot water, heat and gas meters and, above all, to take action to stop wastage.

This project gave birth to the new subsidiary "Cube4Monitoring" whose objective is to revolutionize the condominium management market and especially to help companies reduce their energy consumption.

Today Smart Cube is a company of engineers in the Smart field with experience in information technology, mastering all standard protocols and offering a wide portfolio of solutions for any kind of need.
